A New York businessman travels down south to close a deal and encounters a feisty cowgirl that will change his life forever.

 

Rhett, a young, miserable businessman is chosen to close a business deal in the deep south. As he arrives he encounters the owners of The Southern Cross, a ranch an airbnb that has been a part of the community for decades. Marilyn/Nanny, a no-nonsense southern matriarch, Trey, a hard-working, stubborn country boy, and Dixie, a feisty cowgirl who doesn't care for strangers, especially those from the north. Rhett travels to visit the owner of Pickens Meats, Ernest Pickens, a quirky, foghorn leghorn like southern gentleman. As the meetings between Rhett and Ernest progress Dixie and Rhett slowly discover there is a spark between them, though neither will acknowledge it. Rhett is confronted by Dixie's on again off again boyfriend and is warned to stay away from her As Rhett and Dixie finally admit their feelings for each other Rhett is ordered back to New York as the deal with Ernest is closed.
